I purchased and finished this book in one night 04/09/2021 after learning DMX died allowing Earl Simmons to live on in peace in the after I have always seen the pain that his wife, help mate and soul mate that wrote this book actually experienced with him.. I am so thankful Mrs Simmons shared her story and is still able to rep her husband in a loyal God loving way and anyone who seen you as stupid does not know how our heavnly father works and is unable to see a person from the inside out. My prayers go out to Mrs Simmons and her family and may Mr Earl Simmons finally rest in peace I really enjoyed this book. It is the first kindle book I have purchased. I feel that X behaves the way that he does partially because he never had a father or strong father figure to straighten him out. Regarding the drugs, I just don't know why no one other than Tashera made X go into a drug program. I guess you can 't force someone to go. The book was very good and Simmons never tried to talk down about X. She simply stated the facts. She never tried to drop names of other celebrities but focused on her own drama and mistakes. Honestly, I feel that Simmons should have listened to her friends and family and never dated X in the first place. Their predictions proved true. He wasn't right for her and she could've done better. Yes, X became rich and famous but his addiction made him a monster. Tashera had to deal with so much abuse. I am glad that she was able to end the relationship, focus on God and find a good man to hold her down. This book is a must read for DMX fans. It is a warning to women who are dating troubled men. Don't do it! Date a man who has himself together. A man who imitates Christ is the best man. Highly recommended. I could not put this book down until I finished it.
